| Frequently
Asked Questions
If
I am new to Broadway, how do I get tithing envelopes?
You can
call the Church office during the week and speak to the
Church secretary, or if you are here on a Sunday, get one
of the ushers to take you to the Secretary / Board Treasurer
and you can get envelopes at that time.
If
I want to get married, have a funeral, or baby dedication
etc. , how do I arrange that?
The process
is quite easy. You need to speak to the Church Secretary
so she can double-check dates in the Church calendar &
make sure there are no other events happening to conflict
with the date you want. A time will then be arranged with
the Senior Pastor, either to make funeral arrangements,
pre-marital counselling
(which is mandatory to be married at Broadway with our Senior
Pastor doing the ceremony) or to set up a baby dedication.
If
I want to become involved in a Ministry, how do I do it?
You would
have to come in and see the Senior Pastor to talk about
what you would like to do, or how you would become involved.
Before taking a leadership position you need to attend Broadway
for one year with proven faithfulness (There are some exceptions,
ie. If you are transferring your membership from another
church and have been involved there). Attendance at weekly
programs is open to everyone.
How
do I become a member?
If you have
regularly attended Broadway for one year then you can apply
for membership status. There is a membership application
that can be picked up at the church office, which outlines
the qualifications that have to be met in order to become
a member. The application is then taken to our Board Of
Deacons for approval. Finally, membership entitles you to
voting privileges at our Annual Business meeting.
